Is this a rule that good roof windows are expensive? OptiLight brand denies it!

Roof window market in Europe has divided in so-called Economic and Premium segment. FAKRO, VELUX and Roto are long-standing and experienced players whose target clients are the wealthiest people. The offer of these companies includes advanced, well-insulated windows and a wide range of accessories for them. Each of the market leaders also offers basic windows which, however, are not the cheapest on the market.

In order to offer standard products, while maintaining the brand’s prestige, leaders began selling windows through subsidiaries and under a different brand. So the Attera Group, to which VELUX belongs, also offers its cheapest products under brands such as RoofLite, Balio, DAKEA, etc.

Let’s start with the fact that behind the OptiLight roof window brand there is a company with many years of experience on the European market. It was created with the aim of offering roof windows and roof windows accessories while maintaining the standards of leading competitors and very attractive price. It is worth considering their range and explain why it is profitable to get interested in this brand and invest its products.

If we talk about the expansion of the roof window market, the engineers working on these products have not said the las word yet. KRONmat shows that we can create an affordable product which is equally good as above-mentioned brands FAKRO, Roto or VELUX. A little-known company preaches the philosophy of quality and product care, not product marketing.

OptiLight windows are cheaper, but not at the cost of materials they are made of, or a guarantee that also covers 10 years of product usage.

If someone asks: “How is it possible that their windows are cheaper than others while maintain high quality?”. Answer should be sought in the business assumptions of the manufacturer. The company does not focus on uproarious and very expensive marketing. On the covers of their catalogues you will not find any sport star, but rather specifics about their products. The company does not invest in large-scale promotional campaigns on television or the Internet. The budget is mostly spent on product development and low promotion costs do not force them to “artificially” increase window prices.
In addition, it is worth to highlight the fact that KRONmat does not have an extensive distribution network for its windows. Obtaining adequate publicity and stable development can be achieved only by cooperation with large and recognizable distributors. Moreover, most wndows accessories manufactured by FAKRO fit OptiLight products.

OptiLight B – reasonable roof window for reasonable money. We would like to present the first window from the KRONmat offer – cheap and good – this is the easiest way to describe it. Wooden window with a double-glazed unit, external toughened glass (4mm). One of the most popular windows from this manufacturer among customers. The product is tested on the market, aesthetically varnished and offered at very attractive prices. Due to the use of appropriate window construction and sealing flanges, OptiLight B roof windows can be installed in roofs with an inclination angle of 15° to 90°. This opens up a number of possibilities and allows for a very wide range of applications, and also the ability to respond to the needs of the most demanding customers.

A large effective glazing area has a positive effect on the room lighting. Roof windows are equipped with a single-chamber glazing unit with a thickness of 24 mm which ensures a very good thermal and sound insulation parameters. In case of OptiLight B the heat transfer coefficient for the window is Uw = 1.3W / m²K. The space between the panes is filled with noble gas and the inner pane has a low-emission layer reflecting heat rays. An important advantage is the fact that the outer pane is tempered.
Roof windows are covered with 10-year manufacturer’s warranty and are compatible with a number of KRONmat accessories, such as record-breaking roof window marquise that significantly reduce the temperature in the attic and the heating of the windows.

OptiLight VB – an air vent that makes life easier in the attic. On the other hand, the OptiLight VB roof window is an extended version of the OptiLight B with an effective and efficient air vent mounted in a wooden frame. It should be highlighted that the efficiency of such diffuser is up to 20 [m3 / h]. This should be understood as the amount of air that will flow into the room through a 78 or 114 cm wide window with a pressure difference of 10 Pa. In addition, it must be remembered that windows with a width of 78 cm and greater have two holes in the vent bar. For roof windows 55 and 66 cm wide the vent capacity will be correspondingly lower and reach 15 [m3 / h] because they have only one opening in the vent bar.
Additionally, windows of this type are also sold in an extremely aesthetic OptiLight VB-W model uniformly painted white.
OptiLight VK with the VB air vent

OptiLight VK – a panoramic view that your neighbours will envy.

KRONmat – a company also has in its offer exceptionally aesthetic and originally designed panoramic windows. The OptiLight VK is basically a top hatch window with a tilt and turn structure. This type of window is made of impregnated and varnished pine wood. The design of the hinges allows the sash to be opened up to 45° which allows free access to the open window. The open sash also allows a wide view to the outside and access to the roof for maintenance work etc. The window is equipped with an air vent in the upper part of the frame, with smooth, manual adjustment. It provides up to 19m3/h of a fresh air (with a pressure difference of 10Pa) with a closed window.

The design of the OptiLight VK top hung windows and their appearance from the inside of the room make possible to combine them with OptiLIght VB pivot windows. It is worth noting that in both of these windows we used universal flashing thanks to which the windows retain a uniform appearance also from the outside. The advantage of such a combination is better interior lighting, functionality and the possibility of easy cleaning of the outer pane in the top hung window.

The OptiLight VK top hung roof window has an adjustable air vent built into the upper part of the frame ensuring an inflow of fresh air even when the window is closed.
OptiLight TLP PVC – plastic windows with a double-glazed unit. The OptiLight brand offers not only wooden windows but also plastic ones for all customers interested in such. In fact, specialists from the KRONmat company have prepared two window models. The first is OptiLight TLP.

The window is made of high-quality PVC profiles reinforced with a steel core. The product has a double-glazed unit and does not have an air vent, although it has an option of a micro-vent. The construction of the roof window is durable and made of plastic which brings maintenance to the bare minimum. The product is made of material which does not absorb moisture. The OptiLight TLP roof window is designed especially for rooms with increased air humidity (kitchens, bathrooms, bathing rooms, laundries). OptiLight TLP is a tilt and turn window. The advantage of such structure is the possibility of convenient and safe cleaning of the outer surface of the glass. The window sash rotates 180° and can be locked for cleaning with a latch.
OptiLight TERMO TLP-U4 – quality, aesthetics and ergonomics in one. The company invests in ergonomics and energy efficiency which is why their most advanced model is a triple-glazed window. Thanks to its advanced structure the window demonstrates excellent thermal properties which translates directly into your savings. Why? Because the OptiLight TERMO TLP-U4 model is sealed “warm” window which the best of our offer prevents the heat from escaping from the room… and thereby money from your wallet from escaping on heating bills.
In the TLP-U4 Termo model the double-glazed unit was replaced with a triple-glazed unit with a ratio of Ug = 0.7 W / m²K thanks to which we obtained one of the best heat transfer ratio for the entire window in this price segment at the level of 1.1 W / m²K. It already meets technical conditions for roof windows for 2021.

An important advantage of the OptiLight TLP-U4 Termo window comparing to its predecessor is the use of an in-built vent. It allows to gain the highest window quality with the ergonomics of its use at the forefront: we get a triple-glazed package, the best heat transfer Uw ratio, aesthetics and ventilation system with an air vent.

The PVC OptiLight TLP-VU4 Termo window is currently one of the most cost-effective roof windows, equipped with an energy-saving triple glazing package. It also guarantees a very high quality and equipment to price ratio. It is undoubtedly the best window in the entire portfolio of this manufacturer.
